The R-ring mechanism has a slightly smaller capacity of the paper insert than the D-ring mechanism, but it is easier to turn the pages.
Ring mechanisms may vary slightly depending on the current delivery and manufacturer. Some models have a characteristic groove, inscription or are quite smooth.
Ring mechanisms are only sold in full packages.
